This year’s The Generous Pour event at The Capital Grille is a tribute to some of the boldest, risk-taking winemakers in the world! The event is going on now through September 4th 2016.  Guests are invited to explore and enjoy as many of these remarkable wines as they like for $28 per person with a fantastic dinner, which is a pretty great deal if you ask me!

Andrew and I were invited to go recently to check it out, and to say we were impressed is a huge understatement! The theme for this  year’s The Generous Pour is Rebels, Rule Breakers, and Game Changers, and we were able to try the wines out as we enjoyed our dinner and got to learn a little bit more about all of them.

Each of these winemakers have each produced unforgettable wines that have raised the bar for all others. The wines we got to try at The Generous Pour are pretty unique, and for good reason: they were crafted in unexpected places or by unconventional means, and have produced such fantastic varietals that they’re now the benchmarks for wines in their class!

Started off with some cocktails: on the left you have Fire and Ice, which is Casamigos Blanco Tequila with Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur and fresh cucumber, lime and Fresno peppers, and on the right the Stoli Doli, The Capital Grille Signature Martini. Stolichnaya Vodka infused with fresh pineapple, chilled and served straight up.
